1 How do you think your English writing skills have improved after completing this Wix e-portfolio?

By completing my Wix-portfolio, I improved my motivation and confidence of writing. Writing a journal in routine provides an opportunity to record and memorize some pieces of life. In addition, I realized that English writing is not only academic writings, but also journal writing and other daily productions. By realizing that, I would be more willing to continue the routine of journal writing. It not only records my stories, but also lets me practice my English writing. Killing two birds with one stone, perfect!

What do you think about creating the Wix e-portfolio for the final essay drafts?

In my opinion, creating WIx portfolio for all of my final essay drafts records all my efforts in this year. In the past, all of our writings are just HomeWorks or assignment, they were sent to professors after finish writing. But I think collecting all of my works together allows me to look back the time of these two semesters anytime when I want in the future. So, I really appreciate that I could have the chance to do such meaningful output.

3 What do you think about creating the Wix e-portfolio for journal writing and commenting?

I think Journal writing is a great opportunity to practice English writing fluently since it is more like daily utter way. I think I would keep the journal writing as my weekly routine. By commenting on others’ journals, I enjoy their trips, their daily life, or even their thoughts. In my opinion, it is an interesting and precious event. When others comment on my journal page, I would be satisfying since they often be happy with what I share with them. Encouraging me to share more stories or tourist attractions with them.

4 Do you think that journal writing should be conducted in the same way as essay writing (i.e., Draft 1, peer review, Draft 2, conferencing, and Draft 3 on Wix)? Why or why not?

No, I think the journal writing is more like light writing, it is more effortless. If journal writing is conducted in complicated structure check and discussions. It will be a stress to students, it will be a home work, not journal of daily life

5 What did you benefit from TA feedback after you posted each final essay draft and journal on your Wix e-portfolio? (TA feedback was presented via Excel file and PPT slides).

I learn a lot from TA feedback. TA reminds about the font size the color of words and backgrounds. The design of my pages is more comfortable than the previous. By introducing the samples collected by TA from others, I learned some skills and more ways to design my pages.

6 What did you benefit from conducting self-assessment and peer-assessment of the Wix e-portfolio in the second semeste

With self-assessment, I found many rooms for improvement and improved a lot for completing the self-assessment. I also told by my peer-assessment partner that I still have some place to improve and to do better. So, I change some of the design after peer-assessment and make my wix e-protfolio better.

7 How did this Wix e-portfolio enhance your skills other than writing?

It improves my design ability and creativity. In the past day of university life, I only used my design ability on ppt slides. But this opportunity provides me with more places to practice and strengthen my abilities in designing.

Overall, what did you benefit from creating and managing this Wix e-portfolio? How is it different from uploading your assignments on ecourse2?

Creating and managing this Wix e-portfolio let me learn how to set up a website and design every link and other related settings. Uploading my assignments can record in sequence and represents my works more clearly and orderly.

Challenges

1 What difficulties have you encountered in terms of creating and editing your Wix e-portfolio over these two semesters?

The biggest difficulty is the loading of the editing website is too slow. I also stuck in some strange place, and refresh the website, then everything has to start from the beginning... In addition, the Tab button cannot be used on the website, so I have to type the 5 spacing by my hand. But! The strange thing always occurs, when I type to the fifth spacing, the spacing will suddenly become the “Tabbed” size. If I delete the former four spacings, the “Tabbed” spacing will also disappear. That is really annoying because the spacing before paragraphs cannot be the same in every paragraphs.

2 Among all the difficulties mentioned above, what was the most challenging one? How did you handle this challenge?

The spacing difficulty is the most challenging one. However, no, I couldn’t handle it, it still challenging and annoying until now!!!

3 Will you continue to use or write posts on this Wix e-portfolio in the future?Why or why not?

Yes, I think I will use Wix e-portfolio whenever I want to collect some of my works or share some interesting contents with others next time.
