COMPOSITION
Camping is a popular weekend activity in Taiwan nowadays. Since I was still a junior high student, my family has started to go camping every month and even on long holidays. Camping is an interesting and educating activity, and it is available to everyone.
This weekend, my family and I visited a camping field in Hsinchu. When we arrived at the camping field, the very first thing to do was to build our house-the tent. Setting up the tent was a big project which needed at least two people to corporate. After building up the tent, it’s time to put out all the articles for daily use and decorate our house for the next two days.
The reason I like to go camping with my family so much is that camping is a chance for us to face each other. We spent time setting up the tent together, passing all the sleeping bags, chairs, and tables together, and enjoying the beautiful environment and scene together. Since I went to Chiayi to study, I have less time to be with my family. I cannot participate in every camping event, and I cannot spend precious weekend time with them. All these losses make me realize the importance of my family to me. They are the pillar of my life, and I cherish all of the time being with them. I love the time we go camping together, and I hope these precious events would last forever.
This camping field was at an altitude of about 500. Fortunately, the clouds were at a low place and allowed us to see the cloud sea. It was a gorgeous and impressive scene. As time goes by, the clouds went upper and upper. Finally, the clouds embrace the camp field, and we were inside of the cloud! Although the atmosphere became wet, the scene foggy scene was super dreamy.
During dinner time, the temperature was only 14 degrees, so we made a hotpot and enjoy a warm dinner in cold weather. With all of my family members, eating the hotpot and chatting, it heated everyone’s body and heart. After dinner, we went out of the tent and decided to start a campfire! In the beginning, we chopped the wood into small pieces, and after the woods were on fire, it’s marshmallow time! We sandwiched the roasted marshmallow with two pieces of cookies, and it was so delicious that the crispy cookie and the soft and warm marshmallow were greatly combined.
